We want everyone to be able to find company on Companio, including people who use a keyboard, a screen reader, larger text or less motion. This page says what works today, what doesn't yet, and how to tell us about a barrier.
What we support
Keyboard: every page starts with a “Skip to content” link, and buttons, links and form fields show a visible outline when they have keyboard focus. Most dialogs and sheets close with Escape, and with Back on Android.
Screen readers: pages are built with headings and landmarks, buttons and form fields are named, and images that carry meaning are given a text alternative.
Reduced motion: if your phone or computer is set to reduce motion, our animations are reduced or switched off.
Text size and zoom: the site follows your browser and system text size, and you can pinch to zoom. We design buttons and links on phones to be at least 44 pixels tall, so they are easier to tap.
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.
What we know falls short
No outside expert has audited the site yet. We check pages ourselves, with automated tools and by hand, so some barriers will have slipped through.
Payments open in Razorpay’s checkout window. We don’t control how accessible that window is.
Profile photos and bios are written by companions, so a photo may have no detailed description beyond the companion’s name.
